Ethan Cicero, PhD, RN is an Assistant Professor in the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing and a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing Scholar. Dr. Cicero’s research centers on the health and well-being of transgender and gender nonbinary communities, with a particular interest in methods used for transgender health. Ethan’s current research with Rainbows of Aging works to better understand the risk and needs of transgender adults living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

About Rainbows of Aging

Rainbows of Aging is a research team led by Dr. Jason Flatt, MPH, PhD at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Our mission is to ensure inclusion of LGBTQIA+ older adults (50+) in research. We specifically focus on brain health, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s and the experiences of caregivers. Our studies typically include a listening session where we seek to understand your lived experiences to better focus future efforts and resources in ways that will promote equitable access and healthy aging among the community.
