Jalal Uddin is a Master of Public Health student in the Social and Behavioral Health Department at the UNLV School of Public Health. His research focuses on understanding the socioeconomic determinants of health and health disparities in Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and Parkinson's disease among aging populations, including racial and ethnic minorities, and sexual and gender minorities. He completed his Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Bangladesh in 2019. As a Graduate Research Assistant with Dr. Flatt, PhD, Jalal is involved in several projects, including PRIDE, RISE, SOLA, Center for Health Information Analysis Data for Parkinson's and dementia healthcare utilization in Nevada, and BRFSS 2022 for cardiometabolic risk in older Asian Americans. He primarily assists with data management and analysis using statistical software such as SPSS and SAS, focusing on public health data analysis, including data cleaning, organization, frequency calculation, bivariate analysis, binary logistic regression, data visualization, and interpretation of results.
